Red Flags National and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addictions are joining forces again to offer the very popular Red Flags Implementer trainings for the 2016-17 school year. Implementer trainings introduce, or possibly re-introduce school personnel to the recently revised Red Flags Framework and Toolkit for Mental Health Education. The Framework lays the foundation for the creation of a culture of mental health within schools. The Toolkit provides practical, reproducible materials to support the Framework. Inexpensive, flexible, and most importantly effective, Red Flags focuses on developing and maintaining sound mental health. Red Flags increases mental health literacy, promotes sound mental health habits and facilitates early intervention at the very onset of developing mental health concerns. Honed by 20 years of teacher and parent input, Red Flags offers schools a simple and practical process for reducing the barriers to learning that can result from unresolved mental health problems.
