Red Flags Implementer Trainings

2017-2018 Schedule and Information


Red Flags Trainings are suitable for school personnel who have an interest in school-based mental health education including administrators, school psychologists and counselors, parent mentors, social workers, health teachers, and nurses.  It is also suitable for those who have received a Red Flags training in the past as much has changed over the past couple of years.  Red Flags parent and school staff materials lay the foundation for a creation of a culture of mental health throughout the entire school district.  The student curricula are applicable for intermediate and middle school grades, roughly grades 5-9.


Place and times:  Please see the chart below for training addresses and times for the 2017-2018 school year. Times may vary depending upon the site. Register early as seating is limited. Materials and additional information will be sent following registration.

Registration for the trainings through January open on August 1st. Trainings for the second semester will open in November.


Cost for the training is $25 and is paid online at the time of registration. A refund of $20 can be obtained for cancellations up to 10 days before the training date. After the 10 day deadline, another person may attend in the original participant’s place with prior notification.


Cost of the Red Flags Kit is $300 and includes the manual, a poster, 2 videos, a CD with a Power Point Presentation, The Green Book: Nurturing Kids Mental Health and a variety of editable Templates, 150 parent booklets, and 250 “I Feel Good!” stickers.  The kit need not be purchased prior to the training.
